RDA Central West will cease accepting Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (Subclass 187) applications on Friday 1st November at 5 pm. This is to ensure there is sufficient time to process all final applications before the program closes on 15 November.
The new Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa (Subclass 494) comes into effect on 16 November 2019.
The Skilled Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 489) program has officially closed and processing of applications has ceased. Applications received during the closure period will not be accepted.
The Skilled Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 489) program will be replaced by the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 491) program. Registrations for this will open later in the year.
The introduction of the two new regional visas will not impact people who already hold existing visas. Applications lodged prior to November 2019 will continue to be processed as normal. For more information on the changes read here.
