The students participating in the 2021 TEN4TEN Leadership Dialogue recently attended an afternoon tea to hear from local government staff from Orange City Council, Cabonne Council and Blayney Shire Council.
The students learnt more about the professional journey’s and roles of Orange City Council Mayor Reg Kidd, CEO David Waddell and Manager of Corporate and Community Relations, Nick Redmond.
They also heard from Bradley Byrnes, General Manager of Cabonne Council and Megan Rodd, Manager of Tourism and Communications at Blayney Shire Council.
The students not only discovered more about the different aspects of local government, but were encouraged to keep an open mind and have a go as they enter their final years at school and consider life after Year 12.
The 2021 TEN4TEN Leadership Dialogue is being delivered by Regional Development Australian Central West thanks to the support of Orange City Council, Cabonne Council and Blayney Shire Council.
