Building Better Regions Fund Round Four – CLOSES 19 Dec 19

Round Four of the widely successful Building Better Regions Fund closes Thursday 19 December. This round will be focused on supporting projects in drought affected areas. For Round Four there is a total of $200 million available.

The Infrastructure Projects Stream supports projects that provide economic and social benefits to regional and remote areas. The projects can be either construction of new infrastructure or the upgrade or extension of existing infrastructure. Grants are from $20,000 up to $10 million.

For people keen to offer support during the drought this campaign is a practical and direct way they can help support local small business in regional and rural NSW during the drought and beyond.  A sister hashtag #stayinthebush has also just been launched encouraging city siders to visit our towns – to stop, shop and stay.

NSW Women of the Year Awards 2020 nominations now OPEN

Now in their ninth year, these Awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding contribution made by women across NSW to business, industry, community and society.

Nominations can now be submitted, and close the last week of October. Who in your community deserves recognition?

There are seven different categories including a ‘Regional Woman of the Year’ Award.

Nominations CLOSE Friday, 25 October 2019. Winners will be announced at a ceremony to be held 5 March, 2020.

Skills Training for drought affected farmers and businesses

As part of the NSW Drought Assistance Package, the NSW Department of Education is subsidising skills training for farmers and regional businesses impacted by the drought who are looking to transition into new or updated career opportunities.
