SUCCESSION & TRANSITION PLANNING WORKSHOP COMING TO CANOWINDRA

Regional Development Australia Central West (RDA Central West) have partnered with Cabonne Council to deliver a Succession and Transition Planning Workshop in Canowindra.

The free workshop, which also includes morning tea, will take place on Friday, 18 June 2021 from 8:45am to 11am at the Canowindra Services and Citizens Club.

RDA Central West CEO, Sam Harma said the workshop is designed to support local business owners, family operated businesses, farmers and farm-related small businesses.

“Planning and preparing for the future is vital for any business,” said Mr Harma.

“This workshop will focus on the importance of business transition planning, understanding strategies for mitigating risk and the types of support and loans offered through the Regional Investment Corporation.”

Presenting at the workshop in Canowindra is Weston Ryan, Principal at pmwPlus; Graeme Hay, Director of Barrack Broking and Alli Gartrell, Executive Director Program Delivery with the Regional Investment Corporation.

Mr Harma added that the presenters will cover the key elements of succession and transition planning, with a particular angle on agribusiness, and will also take part in a live Q&A session at the end of the workshop.

“It’s important to prepare for the future and build up your resilience early, to avoid risk later,” said Mr Harma.

“The Central West is built on small businesses and this workshop aims to give locals the tools they need to start these important conversations.”
