Skilled Migration Roadshow for Employers rolls into Bathurst and Orange this March

Local businesses and employers from the Central West are invited to a FREE skilled migration information forum in either Bathurst or Orange on March 17 and 18 respectively.

In these two information sessions RDA Central West is partnering with the Department of Home Affairs to update local business on the different skilled visa options and pathways available when positions cannot be filled by Australian workers.

The Australian Government is committed to boosting skills in regional Australia and there are new incentives for overseas skilled workers to live and work in regional Australia. Trained Immigration Outreach Officers will be on hand to answer questions at both sessions.

RDA Central West CEO, Sam Harma said the Skilled Migration Program is making an important contribution to the Central West region’s economy and it is also providing more options for employers who cannot fill a position with local labour.

“In some regions employers are crying out for the right skilled staff and in some scenarios the best fit is for skilled workers from overseas.”

“The pathways to permanent residency, that these jobs offer, are an opportunity for a migrant family to establish a quality lifestyle in a regional Australian community,” said Mr Harma.

Employers and interested community members are invited to attend and find out more about regional migration options and benefits.
