Central Western women celebrated the ‘International Day of Rural Women’ this month with lunches and events all over the region. If you know an inspiring rural woman who should be celebrated don’t miss out on nominations for two of the biggest 2020 women’s awards:
- ‘NSW Women of the Year Awards’ (incl. a ‘Regional Woman of the Year’ category) – nominations CLOSE Friday 25 October, 2019.

The ‘NSW Women of the Year Awards’ recognise and celebrate the outstanding contribution made by women across NSW to industry, communities and society. There are seven state-wide Award categories which regional women are all welcome to apply for. One category is a specific Award given to a woman who lives/works in a NSW regional/rural town. This is called the ‘Rex Airlines Regional Woman of the Year’ Award which specifically celebrates women from regional NSW who have made significant achievements in areas that are important to regional or rural communities.

This Award is about acknowledging and supporting the essential role women play in rural and regional industries, businesses and communities ensuring the continuation of rural and regional Australia as a vibrant hub for a profitable and resilient agriculture sector.
