RDA CENTRAL WEST & LACHLAN SHIRE COUNCIL PARTNER FOR GRANT WRITING WORKSHOP

Regional Development Australia Central West (RDA Central West) and Lachlan Shire Council have partnered together to deliver a grant writing workshop and Q&A session.

The workshop is open to local residents, volunteers, community groups, sporting clubs, schools, event organisers and anyone from the shire who is interested in learning more about the grant writing process.

Chair of RDA Central West, Ruth Fagan, said it’s a great opportunity to discover the best tips to prepare and submit applications for funding.

“Applying for funding can often be an overwhelming experience and this workshop has been designed to guide participants through the main steps that are involved,” said Mrs Fagan.

“The workshop will help participants to get ‘grant ready’ and we are also encouraging anyone who registers for the workshop to submit any questions they have and would like answered during the session.

“We’re pleased to be working with Lachlan Shire Council to deliver this workshop and assist the communities of Condobolin, Lake Cargelligo, Tottenham and surrounds.”

Registration for the workshop is free but essential. To register, visit www.lachlan_grantwritingworkshop.eventbrite.com.au

The workshop will be held via Zoom and will take place on Thursday, 7 October from 6pm to 7:30pm.

RDA Central West is also available to assist local organisations to identify and review project ideas in line with funding grants available and bring together eligible parties to develop an application for a project.

A new Guide to Successful Grant Writing document has also been produced and can be downloaded on the RDA Central West website.
