MSM Milling Incursion: Bowen Public School

MSM Milling’s Chemical Engineer, Greg Lynch and Communications Manager Genya Miller visited Bowen Public School as part of RDA Central West’s STEM Industry School Partnership Program (SISP).

Greg shared the MSM Milling story and the role of automation and robotics in the production and packaging of canola oil.

The visit allows students to understand how coding, automation and mechatronic engineering is used in industry and how the STEM skills they are developing in school can lead to future jobs in the local Agri-Tech industry such as those at MSM Milling.

The students got to touch the canola seed, view the canola meal and view and smell the unrefined and refined oil during the visit.

MSM Milling is a fully integrated oilseed crushing, refining and packaging operation located at Manildra in the central west of New South Wales, Australia.
