The Central West Inspired Women (CWIW) initiative launched by Regional Development Australia Central West (RDA Central West) in November 2022, is bringing Australia’s leading LinkedIn strategist Lucy Bingle to Bathurst on 9 November at The Greens on William.
The two and a half hour learning and networking event will educate local women on how to make the most of the world’s most powerful professional networking platform, with 12 million users in Australia.
RDA Central West communications and engagement manager and cofounder of the initiative, Rachel Chippendale, said the event aims to empower local women to capitalise on the plethora of opportunities LinkedIn offers regional women to showcase their businesses and enhance their careers.
“We are so proud to be bringing Lucy Bingle to Bathurst. This event is not just for existing LinkedIn users, but also women who are not yet actively using the platform,” said Ms. Chippendale.
“We hosted Lucy in Orange in February, and the feedback was incredible. Thanks to Bathurst City Council and Verto, we are now able to host a CWIW pilot event in Bathurst and hope it will be the start of more CWIW events in this city.”
Lucy Bingle is Australia’s most renown LinkedIn strategist, working regularly with the likes of Australia’s leading corporations and government organisations.
“To have an expert of this calibre coming to Bathurst and with such a strong demand for tickets already, is truly testament to the life and times of the region and the city of Bathurst – we have so many amazing women living in the Central West who want to connect and better themselves,” added Ms. Chippendale.
The one and a half hour workshop will commence at 11am and be followed by a networking lunch and an opportunity for a new headshot by award-winning local photographer Kirsten Cunningham.
“We encourage both LinkedIn regulars and novices to come along and upskill themselves on how to effectively use the LinkedIn platform. You will be amazed how much you can learn and how good it feels to connect with like-minded women.”
This CWIW initiative aims to have women connect, inspire, learn and share skills and knowledge in a positive space.
