The NSW Government is committing $6 million over the next three years (to 2020) to improve grassroots cricket facilities in the leadup to hosting the ICC World T20 tournament in 2020.
Eligible applicants include community cricket clubs, associations and local councils.
The Fund provides grants for:
- Cricket facilities and infrastructure – grants between $15,000 and $250,000 for new facilities or upgrades (up to 50% of the costs)
- Female programs and resources – grants between $5,000 and $50,000 (up to 50% of the costs) for equipment or resources to develop programs increasing female participation
- Securing Elite Regional Cricket Events – grants between $20,000 and $100,000 (up to 50% of the costs) for securing tournaments or Cricket Australia events
