EXPLORING EXPORTS: TAKING THE CENTRAL WEST ABROAD

Regional Development Australia (RDA) Central West is pleased to be working with Cabonne Council to bring the ‘Exploring Exports’ forum to Molong as part of Small Business Month.

Operating as a working lunch, the forum will take place next week on Thursday, 15 October from 12pm to 2pm at the Molong RSL Club. Tickets are free; however registration for the event is essential.

RDA Central West CEO, Sam Harma said the forum will bring together local growers and leading representatives from the export sector to discuss the opportunities and support that is available.

“The Central West is home to some of the best produce in New South Wales, and there is great potential to take what we have here in the region to countries around the world,” said Mr Harma.

“The forum will be extremely valuable to local growers and producers as it will provide an overview into the export markets, pathways to export and what support is available.

Speaking at the forum is Senior Export and Tradestart Adviser for the NSW Department of Treasury, Brent Bannister; Chair of the Export Council of Australia, Dianna Tipping and Head of Aviation at Canberra Airport, Michael Thomson.

“Brent Bannister, Senior Export and Tradestart Adviser at the NSW Department of Treasury, will talk through the support that is available for growers and producers and Dianna Tipping will discuss the role of the Export Council of Australia in supporting the industry and those who are considering exporting,” explained Mr Harma.

“With the international export avenue now available through Canberra Airport, it is also fantastic to have Head of Aviation, Michael Thomson, involved in the forum.

“Michael will not only provide a snapshot of the services Canberra Airport offer, but will also outline the markets they access and the potential opportunities available for the Central West.

“I strongly encourage growers and producers across the region who are considering expanding their business and want to know more about exporting, to register for this event.”

Tickets for Exploring Exports are free and lunch will be provided. Registration is essential as seats are limited due to COVID-19 restrictions. Secure your seat by visiting https://exploring-exports.registration
