The NSW Government is encouraging charities, not-for-profits, companies limited by guarantee and local government organisations within NSW to apply for grant funding to hold events and activities that celebrate women during the State’s inaugural NSW Women’s Week.
The NSW Women’s Week to be held 3-9 March 2019.
The NSW Women’s Week grants provide local organisations with an opportunity to deliver a range of education, mentoring and participatory activities that will provide direct benefit local to women and girls.
Up to $1,000 is available for for small scale events and activities and from $1,001 to $5,000 for larger scale events and activities.
Events and activities must promote at least one of the three priorities of the NSW Women’s Strategy 2018-2022 including;
- Economic opportunity and advancement
- Health and wellbeing.
- Participation and empowerment
Grant funding can be used for the direct costs of the event/activity, including promotion, entertainment, catering, venue hire and transport for participants.
Charities, not-for-profit organisations, public companies limited by guarantee and local government organisations based in NSW.
The grants round will close at 5pm Monday 12 November 2018.
