Energy efficiency funding for manufacturers

The New South Wales Government is offering over $16 million in funding assistance to help manufacturers make their businesses more energy efficient.

Funding is available for businesses to; install energy efficient equipment and energy metering or to improve their manufacturing process.

Funding will be matched up to $120,000 per manufacturing site and is available for projects that save stationary energy (gas and electricity)

Offer 1 – Metering and process optimisation

Sites can install or upgrade energy monitoring systems to improve control of manufacturing processes and machinery to save energy.

Funding cap: One project up to $50,000 of matched funding per site

Offer 2a – Simple energy efficiency upgrades

Retrofit and replace specific technologies such as, economisers and burners for boilers and variable speed drives.

Funding cap: Multiple projects up to a total of  $30,000 of matched funding per site

Offer 2b – Measured and verified energy efficiency upgrades

Complex energy efficiency projects such as heat recovery and boiler upgrades.  This offer involves verifying the energy savings using an internationally recognised method.

Funding cap: One project up to $70,000 of matched funding per site.

Applications open 22 February 2019 and will close on 30 June 2019.

Briefing sessions will be held to help businesses understand the funding offers, get tips for a successful application and ask any questions they may have.
