Small Business COVID-19 Support Grant

To ease the pressure on thousands of small businesses that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the NSW Government has announced a COVID-19 Small Business Support Grant as part of the NSW Government Small Business Support Fund. If your small business or non-profit organisation has experienced a significant decline in revenue as a result of COVID-19, you may be eligible for the small business support grant of up to $10,000

This assistance supports the ongoing operations of small businesses highly impacted from COVID-19 pandemic following the NSW Public Health Order of 31 March 2020.

NSW Government To Boost Resilience In Regional NSW Amid Covid-19

Vital infrastructure projects will be fast-tracked in regional NSW to help local industries, councils and communities rebuild and recover from the impacts of drought, bushfire and COVID-19.

More than $100 million of the NSW Government’s COVID-19 stimulus package will go towards the expansion of plantation nurseries to boost production, infrastructure repairs in State forests, the rebuild of local showgrounds.

Regional and Small Publishers Innovation Fund – 2020 Round: Application open late April

To assist news publishers with the significant challenges they face in the current media landscape, the release of the 2020 Round of the Innovation Fund has been brought forward.

Applications will be open for a four-week period, commencing in late April and closing in late May. The application and processing timeframes will be shorter than previous rounds to help business deliver public interest journalism to the community.

The 2020 Round will be open to regional and metropolitan publishers and content service providers producing public interest journalism.

A total of $5 million will be available for the 2020 Round, with a maximum of $400,000 for any applicant.

Air freight support

The International Freight Assistance Mechanism is a $110 million initiative to help agriculture and seafood exporters get their high-value products into key overseas markets. Return flights will bring back items critical to the ongoing health response including vital medical supplies, medicines and equipment.

Newcrest Community support Fund

Newcrest Mining has launched a $20M Community Support Fund, with a portion of these funds coming directly to the Cabonne, Blayney and Orange districts. Funds will focus on the availability of medical care and equipment, and supporting industries, business and community groups that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Create NSW COVID-19 Support for Small-Medium Arts & Screen Sector

To support independent artists and small to medium arts, screen and cultural organisations impacted by COVID-19, Create NSW is implementing a number of measures. This includes accommodation assistance, new support for creatives to engage with online platforms, and a suite of initiatives that provide employment and development opportunities, and audience engagement and skill-sharing for arts, screen and cultural organisations and individuals across the State.

Community building partnership

Applications for the 2020 round of the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership Grant open on 4 May. The grant supports infrastructure projects that deliver positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes, while promoting community participation, inclusion and cohesion.

Incorporated not-for-proft community organisations and local councils are eligible to apply for grants of between $2500 and $300,000.
