Regional Development Australia (RDA) Central West is excited to partner with Orange360 and Central NSW Business HQ for an Agritourism and Regional Tourism Workshop being held in Condobolin and Cowra next week.
The free workshops will take place on Wednesday, 24 February and are open to farmers, small businesses and anyone interested in learning how to make the most of the growing domestic tourism market.
RDA Central West CEO, Sam Harma said the workshops are about providing ways to capitalise on the current opportunities.
“Regional tourism has soared to new heights and we want to keep up the momentum,” said Mr Harma.
“There are experiences that happen every day in communities across the Central West that have the potential to be transformed into new and exciting tourism offerings.
“I encourage farmers, small businesses and anyone who is interested in seizing the current opportunities in agritourism and regional tourism to register because these workshops will make a real impact.”
General Manager of Orange360, Caddie Marshall, added that the workshops are being delivered at a time when the domestic tourism market is booming.
“There are so many opportunities in both agritourism, regional tourism and in fact most small businesses in the bush at the moment but it’s important to recognise the key elements that ensure your business gains the benefit of these opportunities,” said Ms Marshall.
“By concentrating on things like defining your audience, marketing strategies and your online presence, it can really put you on the map and this will be the focus of the workshop.”
Central NSW Business HQ Tourism Advisor, Rebecca George will also be presenting at the workshops next week.
“I’m looking forward to working with Caddie to provide business support and advice specific to those wanting to make the most of the opportunities in agritourism and regional tourism,” added Ms George.
“It’s an exciting time in the Central West and these workshops will provide participants with a plan they can take home and continue to develop, and I think we will see a lot of businesses grow over the year as a result.”
RDA Central West is pleased to work with Lachlan Shire Council and the Cowra Tourism Corporation to host the workshops on Wednesday, 24 February 2021. The workshops are free, however registration is essential.
