Cowra is set to host a major forum for local beef, mutton and lamb producers and industry representatives with the annual Agribusiness Today Forum to be held on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th August at the Cowra Services Club.

The theme for the 2019 forum focuses on how to maximise red meat yields and business opportunities. The forum is expected to attract well over 100 delegates to town.

The two-day event will be addressed by a number of high calibre speakers including representatives from Meat and Livestock Australia, JBS and NAB. Delegates also have the opportunity to attend one of three field trips.

Regional Development Australia (RDACW) Central West’s CEO Sam Harma said this year’s event was sure to be a showcase for the local red meat industry.

“The Central West is renowned for our world class produce. The red meat sector is a major employer and driver of the region’s economy. It is great to be able to showcase the sector and deliver the Agribusiness Today Forum for another year.

“The drought is biting, but prices are high and the outlook for the sector is bright.

“The countdown is now on to the 8th & 9th August, with registration and ticket sales having just opened to purchase online. I encourage those interested to register quickly so they don’t miss out on this great opportunity,” said Mr Harma.

Tickets are still available to purchase with registrations now closing at: 5pm on Wednesday 8th for the Forum day event which will be held on Thursday 8th and registrations closing on Thursday 8th, 5pm for the Field Day trips which will be held on Friday 9th August.
