A MESSAGE FROM CEO SAM HARMA – January 2020

It has been a shocking and heart-breaking start to 2020 for many parts of the nation. NSW has been especially hard hit by the bushfire disaster. The thoughts and prayers of RDA Central West are with the Central West communities of Lithgow and Oberon as they recover from this unprecedented disaster. Please visit the Bushfire Recovery Information page on our website for more information, here.

In more positive news, RDA Central West has recently launched our new website. We have aimed to make the new platform more user friendly, and a more valuable tool for the region. We have included a new data tool which provides important regional information around economic activity, demographic data and community information for all of the communities across the Central West.

Having good data is essential to make informed decisions around investment, moving to our region or even applying for a grant. The new data tool can be found on our website, here.

RDA Central West is also excited by the recently appointed Grants Officer who will focus on supporting local community groups and businesses to better access government grant opportunities, services and other available support.

Supporting the promotion and dissemination of government grants and information is at the core of what underpins and drives RDA Central West, and this announcement is a great step for both our region and our organisation.

For more information about the new Grants Officer role and how RDA Central West may be able to support your local community, please contact our friendly staff on: t. (02) 6369 1600 or e. grants@rdacentralwest.org.au
