2018 Regional Racing Grants

The NSW Government has opened its grants program for projects that help create stronger links with local communities as part of its ‘Back to the Track; regional racing grants program.

The program provides up to $20,000 for projects, events and programs that build and enhance connections with existing communities and foster new and stronger connections with regional NSW communities.

This is a one-off grants program to support the vitality of thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racecourses and clubs across regional and remote NSW.

This could include:

  • new racing events oriented toward new markets
  • sport and community events held at racecourses
  • training and education programs to help people begin a career in the industry
  • ideas that support and build upon current race meets at our local tracks, such as markets or small concerts, which may help bring more people to these events are also encouraged.

Applications for grants are open from 1 August to 27 August.
